Rapid Rural Community Response to COVID-19 (RCRC) is a coalition of more than 60 organisations. RCRC member organisations serve over 1.6 crore people in over 110 districts of 15 states.
We think it is critical to support the vulnerable rural community in the following way, at the block/ village level, community resource persons (CRPs) resident in the village being the agents of change Raise awareness rapidly Support migrants
We as a nation need to collectively understand better the public health crisis and the economic crisis, the latter including agriculture production crisis and implication of pandemic on water resources and the loss of jobs for the migrants and for the farm labour
RCRC effort will complement the efforts to the democratically elected representatives from the local self government level, to members of the legislative assemblies to member of Parliament
